Beyond their character, all caregivers complete our intensive screening process. All senior care staff has to go through the process below:

  • Fill out an application with Mom’s Best Friend
  • Follow up with an In-Person Interview: this determines personal and professional experience
  • Applicant Reference Check: after criteria is met both personally and professionally, we check references to ensure that there are positive professional recommendations
  • Background Check: conducted through the Texas Department of Public Safety in addition to a private service.
  • Proper educational, licensure, accreditation, and employment eligibility documents collected and verified
  • Employee completes an online training program to master basic skills
  • Proprietary Senior Care Service Training Program

Only when all of these steps are complete may a caregiver begins serving seniors.

When our senior care providers are on an assignment, they are required to report their weekly tasks such as meals, activities, medication reminders, etc. using our weekly individual service plans. Further, our administrator supervises caregivers through continued education and training, client follow-up calls, and spot visits.
